报告内容:Interfacial phenomena resulted from the surface tension (especially accompanying withMarangoni effect) have great importance in both nature and industrial processes. Extensive researchhasbeen devoted to understanding the role of interfacial phenomena in particle transport andmanipulation, medicine synthesis, flow instabilities and anti-wetting materials development. Inthis talk, Iwill try to shed some light on the understanding of the Marangoni effect and wettingphenomena at the solid liquid-vapor interfaces by presenting several subjects in our recent work :controlling trajectories of nano-/micro particles and biomaterials using Light-Actuated Marangoni Tweezer (LAMT) ; liquid plug formation from heated binary mixtures in capillary tubes ; dropwise condensation and spontaneous dewetting of small droplets on superhydrophobic surfaces, and monostable superrepellent materials. These studies facilitate to acquire ideas to a number of follow-up studies, such as opening up new avenues for the large-area manipulation and patterning of very small objects, achieving new insights to interfacial hydrodynamics in optofluidics and nano-/microfluidics, as well as strategies to fabricate and optimize smart anti-wetting materials.
